Our House is Under Contract!

After only 30 days on the market, our house is under contract.  We are scheduled to close on December 1, about 45 days from now.

Our house is under contract!

Even though the timing of the sale falls right into our plan, I felt a certain sadness when I got the news.  I really can't explain why I felt that way.  It's like closing a chapter in our life I guess.

On Friday we drove to Baltimore to select our slip for the coming winter.  As we were looking at slips to rent we ran into a guy who wants to sell his condo slip--he leaves on Monday morning for warmer weather.  We like the slip--its far enough away from the foot traffic on the promenade and will allow a good breeze in the summer while still being relatively close to the boater's lounge and showers.  We made arrangements with him to rent it until the end of the year (at a reduced rate) and then possibly buy it at year's end (at a good price) if we still like it.  We're moving our boat into its new slip (and our new home base) next Saturday.

Our rowing dinghy that we completely restored in 2014 is up for sale.
 $400 or best offer.
